You can easily view my schedule and book online via Vagaro. Once you've booked your appointment online, you will recieve an automated text or email confirmation.
Your session on the table begins at your set appoinment time.
Arriving 10 to 15 minutes before your appointment allows time to use the restroom, discuss your goals for the session, and get comfortable on the massage table.
If you are late for your session, this will likely cut into your time on the table.
My work is intuitive in nature as my clients needs can vary. This is why I do not offer "add ons" during your session. I like to able to work with whichever tools/modalities may be deemed beneficial with your consent (such as tunning forks, lymphatic work, cranial sacral, reiki, ect:)
All sessions include:
• Hot towels
• Hot stones
• The option of aromatherapy
• You will rest on 100% cotton breathable sheets
• I work with unscented massage lotion and all natural joba oil
When your massage begins, I'll check in to ensure you're comfortable on the table, and I'll also occasionally ask about the pressure or have you adjust positions.
Other than that, it's up to you. I'll always try to follow your lead. If you start a conversation, I'll gladly chat. If you stay quiet, I will, too.
Of course not. The most important part of any massage is that you're comfortable. Some clients are fully undress for their sessions, while other wear underwear. It's all about your comfort.
No matter what you choose, you'll be under sheets and a blanket during your massage for both modesty and warmth. During your session you will always be draped in a way that only exposes the part of the body that we are currently working on.
No.
Massage therapy is not supposed to hurt. A good massage, even a deep tissue massage, shouldn't cause you to cringe or tighten your muscles. Pain indicates a possible injury or inflammation and causes muscles to tighten and fight against the massage.
If anything I do causes pain or makes you uncomfortable, please tell me immediately. That's your body's way of telling me to back off. The deepest and most effective massage always works with your body, not against it.
If you're sick, reschedule. Whether it's the flu, or a stomach virus, I don't want to catch it, and my other clients don't either.
Before scheduling a massage, check with your healthcare provider if you have blood clots, kidney or liver conditions, or other possible health conditions.
You should check with your healthcare provider before scheduling a massage if you are experiencing a high-risk pregnancy.
You should seek a massage therapist specially trained in oncology massage if you have cancer.
If you have a recent injury (broken bones, bruising, sprains, strains, or inflammation), massage should not be performed on those areas. Always inform your massage therapist of any recent injury.
On average, most people get a massage about once a month. Some people schedule more often, some less often. A few helpful factors here include:
1. How much pain or stress you have
2. How your body reacts to massage therapy
3. Your budget
If you need to reschedule your appointment, you can make this change anytime via Vagaro.
Cancellations without 48 hour notice may result in a charge for your session, as that time has been set aside specifically for you. Review my policies or contact me for more information.
